Both are displaying at p, the maximum resolution of many standard monitors. The results of applying super-sampling techniques can vary from system to system, and even game to game. These games can handle 60 frames per second even when over-rendered. Note that only a few games support the latter option at the moment.
This method is going to force Windows itself to render images at greater resolution than would normally be possible. You can simply set the resolution higher before beginning your game and adjust the rendering resolution as necessary. Some recent games allow rendering of game elements at higher resolution than native maximum.

I guess it's a simple way to to check out your current hardware capabilities. I was trying with hitman and gtx Also tried with Squad but it is veeery demanding, and i am using game's settings, not nvidia's driver setting.

A Ti does it quite easily at around range better then most I have tried. Okay maybe it's a optimization thing. Equal to? Hmm try, better than Why do folks think is this cheap? If you want to do 4K properly, get a Ti. Depending on the game and resolution etc i'm sure. It's a bit overkill atm for most games, but for 2k i think it'll go old very soon. Even now, the GR Wildlands with everything set to ultra i get less than 60fps, even more so with future titles i'm pretty sure.

Question about Supersampling and Image Quality on 1080p TVs vs. Native 4k TVs

After all, what good is a display that has no way to transfer the signal from the player to the device? One of the easiest ways to transfer more data is to compress the image, which allows for more information to be sent through the cable than it could normally support. Chroma subsampling is a type of compression that reduces the color information in a signal in favor of luminance data. This reduces bandwidth without significantly affecting picture quality.
A video signal is split into two different aspects: luminance information and color information. Luminance, or luma for short, defines most of the picture since contrast is what forms the shapes that you see on the screen. Color information, chrominance, or simply chroma is important as well, but has less visual impact.
What chroma subsampling does is reduce the amount of color information in the signal to allow more luminance data instead. Because of bandwidth limitations from internet speeds and HDMI, this makes for much more efficient use of current systems. The first number in this case 4refers to the size of the sample. The two following numbers both refer to chroma. They are both relative to the first number and define the horizontal and vertical sampling respectively.
A signal with chroma has no compression so it is not subsampled and transports both luminance and color data entirely. In a four by two array of pixels, has half the chroma ofand has a quarter of the color information available. Artifacts from chroma subsampling are at their most noticeable with text atop a flat color.
The impact is far less visible in videos and photos. This matters when connecting your TV to a computer, as you don't want your text to be blurry to the point of being unreadable. As you can see, the lack of detail is clearly apparent in the bottom two rows.
The text is all muddled together, and a lot of it is completely unreadable. While fares better thanit still isn't what most would consider acceptable. While this pattern showcases an extreme case, similar side effects are visible in normal usage as well. It usually makes standard text look fuzzy and reduces its clarity.Menu Menu. Log in. The image has a higher density of pixels which means although you are getting "worse anti-aliasing" the image doesn't require it nearly as much because the pixels that make up the image are smaller and more numerous, meaning the edges of objects will appear smoother because of the added detail. You'll loose some of the "smoothness" but you probably won't care once you realise how much more detail is being displayed. Aliasing and shimmering and stuff like that are my biggest bug bear when it comes to IQ, and the results when down sampling these games to p is stunning in this regard.

Since getting a 4K TV down the line is a foregone conclusion I've been wondering whether I'm going to lose this aspect. Now I know of course that a higher resolution is objectively better than a lower resolution so don't misunderstand me, but when it specifically comes to jaggiesam I getting a "better" image quality by downsampling to p? It goes without saying that a higher resolution mitigates the issue to some extent on its own, but then again we've gone from x resolutions all the way up to 4K and anti-aliasing still a thing?

A better question might be "super-sampling vs. AA solutions are required then there aren't enough pixels to resolve a line 'cleanly' and so you tidy that up some with anti-aliasing.
The image should be objectively better. I imagine it'll vary from game to game, engine to engine. And individual taste matters here, too.

Also, does DSR do anything besides increase anti-aliasing powers? Like, does it make colors look more rich? You will notice there's already various different types of AA, then they have the amount of passes to do - when you get up to 8x for example, this would redraw each individual frame 8 times, therefore taking a heavy load on the graphics card, making it 8 times the load!
DSR is only available on some Nvidia graphic cards. It sets the game resolution to be higher than what your monitor can handle - which cases the game to draw each individual frame once at a higher quality.
Then the graphic card down-samples those frames to the native resolution of what the monitor handles. The image edges already look sharper at the higher resolution, so it can calculate them and try keep that quality sharpness when down-sampling it.
Note: It depends strongly on the game and your system how well this will work. Some games mess up, because well 3K or 4K UltraHD isn't really supported that well in the first place and can put a lot more load on the system. If you have any issues, you just have to disable DSR by setting it's in-game resolution to default or under GeForce Experience. How effective it is vs AA depends a lot on the game. You may find that some textures or UI elements may scale better than others depending on the resolution of the original assets.
It also takes some fiddling with the smoothness setting - the gaussian filter it applies isn't very good. If you're downsampling you may want to try something like GeDoSaTo if the games support it, you have much better options like Lanczos scaling. Does it improve Textures?Xnx arday soomaali ah
I think I noticed the textures and colors looking better, but I'm bad with remembering how something looked once i change resolutions lolol But based on the geforce link you showed above, the image does look more "complete" I think i answered my own question I think DSR simply creates a more "complete" look AntiAliasing will be more "complete" Colors will be more "complete" and thicker.
Textures will be more "complete" and popping, because everything is closer together?? I think i got that right All it does is render the game at a higher resolution and scale it back to whatever your monitor runs at. You can cram more detail into it, but the benefits are limited by your monitor's pixel density. It shouldn't really provide better colors, but an overall cleaner and sharper look, provided the game works well in those high resolutions in the first place.
The default temp target should be at about 90C, so over that the GPU will start throttling until it gets to lower temps. It's still safe, but in-game performance may suffer.
